APPLICATION PROCESS

Note: Please note our waiting list is currently closed. Please check back at a later date if you want to apply for a unit.

The co-op will post in the Special Postings sent out from the Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto (CHFT), in advance of a waitlist opening. Accepted applicants must attend a mandatory orientation session in-person to pick up an application.

Once your application is received, the Co-op will review the form to ensure it is complete and supporting income documents for all household members are submitted. There is an application fee of $25.00 per applicant over the age of 16. A credit and landlord check with be conducted.

After the application is processed, the applicant(s) will be scheduled for an interview with the Membership Committee. A recommendation from the committee will be brought to the Board of Directors for review and approval. Applicants will be informed of the Board’s decision and will be placed on the external waiting list as an Approved Applicant.  Once you officially take possession of a unit, you are a Member.

When becoming a Member of the co-op, you are not eligible to apply for Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) for the first four years.  To learn more information about accessing rental assistance, please visit the City of Toronto’s Access to Housing page here.
